Houses for rent in Italy with an ancient living tradition
Landscape and paths are still the same. “The mountain” has not been developed with roads nor has it been commercialized yet. The houses have remained unaltered to a very large extent too. Some of them are outstanding buildings that are the destination for architects and students every year. Such as the Settari Villa, an early work of the famous Tyrolean architect Prof. Lois Welzenbacher or the Briol house that was built in the Bauhaus style by Hubert Lanzinger in 1928.
Besides the main building, situated at 1310m above sea level, the Briol ensemble, which is largely accessible to the guests, comprises the Settari Villa, which is the “hermit” in Dreikirchen and the oldest house at the mountain, the “mother house,” Johanna Settari’s last retreat and the Settari House that houses the refurbished holiday apartments today.
